Challenges and solutions
Problem
The client approached us with the intention of designing a user-friendly CRM for hotel bookings. Our task was to bring this vision to life by creating a platform that allows administrators to manage and control every aspect of the booking process efficiently.
Solution
In response to the client's requirements, our team designed a comprehensive CRM system that streamlines hotel booking operations. The platform offers various functionalities, including room availability management, check-in and check-out processes, guest information management, and more.
Visual design
To create a visually appealing and effective CRM, our design approach combined colors that reflect professionalism with accents that add a touch of warmth and clarity. The Lexend Deca typography was chosen to deliver a clean and modern look, while tailored icons were developed to simplify navigation and enrich the user experience.
Scope of work
Research & Discovery
Our design process began with an in-depth research and discovery phase, where we thoroughly explored the client's vision and requirements for the hotel booking CRM. We conducted a comprehensive competitor analysis to understand the current market offerings and identified opportunities for innovation. Additionally, we analyzed the target audience, including hotel administrators, to ensure the system would meet their specific needs and expectations.
Wireframing
Following the research phase, we proceeded to create detailed wireframes that outlined the user journey within the CRM system. We developed multiple iterations of wireframes for critical components such as the booking list, room inventory management, guest profiles, and reservation calendars. These wireframes served as the foundation for the system's information architecture, ensuring optimal user flow and efficient access to key functionalities like occupancy forecasting and more.
UI Design
After establishing the wireframes, we transitioned to the UI design phase. Here, we translated our UX insights into visually appealing and functional user interfaces. Our team carefully selected a color palette that aligned with the client's brand identity while ensuring optimal readability and reduced eye strain for prolonged use. What is more, we created custom icons for various features, enhancing the overall user experience for hotel staff.
Adaptive Design
Recognizing the need for flexibility across different devices, we developed an adaptive design that ensures optimal functionality and appearance on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. This approach guarantees that hotel administrators can access the CRM and manage bookings seamlessly, regardless of their device. The adaptive design phase ensured consistent performance and usability in various operating environments.
Clickable Prototype
In the final phase of our design process, we developed a clickable prototype that closely mimicked the functionality of the completed CRM system. This interactive prototype allowed the client to experience the application firsthand, navigating through the booking and management features as an administrator would. The prototype provided an opportunity for the client to provide feedback and request adjustments, ensuring that the final product would fully meet their operational needs before moving into development.
UX/UI Design
With over 24 wireframes, we detailed every critical component of the hotel booking CRM, from the booking list to the guest management interface. These wireframes functioned as the backbone of our design process, ensuring a logical and user-friendly flow throughout the system.
