Problem
The client approached us with the vision of creating an easy mobile messenger for communicating with friends and family. Our task was to translate this vision into reality by designing an app with simple and convenient functionality.
Solution
Our solution involved designing a mobile messaging application that prioritizes both functionality and security. The app provides real-time messaging, voice and video call capabilities, and ensures a reliable and smooth user experience.
Visual design
To establish a modern and engaging visual aesthetic, our design team crafted a vibrant and cohesive color palette. The selected colors create a dynamic yet professional look, complemented by the SF UI Display typography and a custom set of icons that enhance user interaction and visual appeal.
Scope of work
Research & Discovery
To begin with, we embarked on a comprehensive research and discovery phase to thoroughly understand the client's vision and requirements. This involved an in-depth analysis of competitors in the messaging and communication industry, as well as a detailed audience analysis to identify user needs and preferences. Based on the insights gathered, we ensured that the final product would be well-aligned with market demands and user expectations.
Wireframing
Building on our research findings, we developed detailed wireframes for each critical user journey within the application. These wireframes encompassed the entire user experience, from initial profile creation to advanced messaging functionalities. At this stage, we paid particular attention to the information architecture, ensuring intuitive navigation and seamless transitions between different communication modes.
UI Design
Translating our UX wireframes into a visually appealing UI was the next crucial step. We carefully crafted user interfaces that balanced aesthetics with functionality, selecting a color palette that evoked a sense of warmth and approachability. Our team chose a font that enhanced readability across various device screens and created a set of custom icons to intuitively represent different communication functions and status indicators.
Logo Design
While our core focus remained on UX/UI design, we extended our services to encompass logo design as per the client's request. Given the client's preference for a logo that simply displayed the app's name "Splash," we meticulously selected a font that conveyed the desired brand identity and resonated with the app's communication-centric purpose.
Clickable Prototype
To further refine the user experience and gather valuable client feedback, we developed a clickable prototype. This interactive prototype simulated the final app, allowing the client to experience the app's functionalities firsthand and provide insightful feedback. This iterative design process ensured the final product aligned seamlessly with user expectations and facilitated clear communication.
UX/UI Design
To lay a solid groundwork for the user interface design, we developed a comprehensive set of over 12 wireframes. These wireframes served as a detailed visual blueprint, carefully mapping out the user's journey from profile creation to seamless messaging.
