Challenges and solutions
Problem
The client approached us with the goal of crafting an intuitive and functional mobile application that enables users to schedule medical appointments and manage them effortlessly. Our task was to develop a mobile app that would help people quickly choose a doctor and a hospital based on their specialization, and create an online appointment system for it.
Solution
In response to the client’s goal, our design team has spent 200 hours shaping user-centric interfaces and appropriate visuals. They have come up with an app where a user can select a hospital and doctor based on their specialization and independently make an appointment with a specific doctor on the desired date and time.
Visual design
Our visual design fosters trust, professionalism, and simplicity for patients. Soothing colors with energetic highlights guide attention, while Poppins typography and a custom icon set ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility throughout the app.
Scope of work
Research & Discovery
The first step in our design journey was to closely communicate with the client and discuss their project specifics, requirements, and expectations. Once our design specialists fully understood the nature of the future application, they went on to assess the existing healthcare mobile apps and compare them to each other. This way, our team found the areas for improvement in the future mobile app.
Wireframing
Based on the insights gathered during research, we created detailed wireframes to structure the app’s core functionality and user flow. This step helped visualize how patients would navigate between different features, such as choosing a specialty, selecting a doctor, or viewing hospital availability. Each interaction was carefully planned to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience within the medical context.
UI Design
At the UI design phase, we transformed functional wireframes into visually appealing and patient-friendly interfaces. We focused on clarity, accessibility, and trust, that are key principles in healthcare design. We did it using a clean color palette, intuitive icons, and a clear hierarchy of information. The result was a design that not only looked modern but also made booking medical appointments fast, reliable, and stress-free.
Logo Design
Beyond healthcare app design services, we also crafted a distinctive and meaningful logo for this project. The design reflected the app’s core purpose and values, incorporating elements of care, connection, and professionalism — all central to the healthcare industry’s focus on trust and empathy. This cohesive visual identity helped position Dr.Helper as a credible and reliable digital health companion.
Clickable Prototype
Finally, we built an interactive prototype that simulated the app’s real-world functionality. This allowed the client and stakeholders to test appointment booking flows, navigation logic, and user interactions before development began. The prototype played a crucial role in gathering valuable feedback and ensuring that the final product delivered a smooth, patient-centered experience.
UX/UI Design
We created wireframes that formed the backbone of the Dr.Helper interface, turning functional requirements into clear user flows. Each screen was designed to simplify doctor searches, hospital comparisons, and appointment management.
